The opportunity
A career-defining campaign, not another fundraising job
This isn't a posting for a "Fundraising Director." It's a founding leadership role with a seat at the executive table, direct access to our CEO/Chairman and Board, a meaningful operating budget, and the authority to build a development organization from the ground up. We're hiring people who already know how to close seven-figure gifts — not people who manage a department that does.
Why join CPF
Built for closers, not caretakers
We're structuring compensation, access, and authority around people who can actually bring in the gifts — not around a traditional nonprofit org chart.
A career-defining mission
Lead a $240M campaign with real scope, real budget, and your name on the outcome — not another line item in someone else's department.
Direct access to leadership
A seat at the executive table with direct access to our CEO/Chairman and Board — no layers between you and the decisions that matter.
Real, ethical compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance and milestone bonuses. We pay for exceptional relationships and closing ability — never a percentage of funds raised.
Build it from zero
These are founding roles. You'll shape the case for support, the prospect pipeline, and the team — not inherit someone else's playbook.
Mission-first, faith-rooted
Work in service of Catholic parishes, schools, and communities worldwide — donors give because the mission is real, and so is the impact.
Cross-border from day one
A genuine U.S. + Mexico mandate, with a bilingual, binational team built to reach families, foundations, and corporations on both sides of the border.
Open roles
Where we're starting
We're not hiring a full ten-person department on day one. We're starting with the roles that matter most — plus outside campaign counsel — and building from there.
Own the $240M campaign end to end: strategy, the top donor pipeline, and the development organization behind it. Report directly to the CEO/Chairman with Board-level visibility.
- Led capital campaigns in the $50M–$240M+ range
- Career fundraising of $75M+, with a largest personal closed gift of $10M+
- 3+ personally closed gifts of $1M or more
- Existing relationships across foundations, corporations, and HNW/family offices
- International or Mexico experience strongly preferred; Spanish strongly preferred
- CFRE/ACFRE preferred; comfortable presenting directly to a board
Own the Mexican side of the campaign — cultivating wealthy families, corporations, and foundations, and building CPF's presence within Mexico's philanthropic ecosystem.
- Deep, existing network among Mexican foundations, families, and companies
- Fluent in Spanish and English; comfortable operating across both cultures
- Prior major-gift or institutional fundraising experience
- Ties to organizations such as Cemefi or AFP's Mexican chapters a plus
Build and close corporate and CSR partnerships with companies such as Google, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Salesforce, AWS, Santander, BBVA, and Walmart on both sides of the border.
- Existing relationships in corporate sponsorship, CSR, or corporate foundation giving
- Track record structuring and closing corporate partnership agreements
- Comfortable working across technology, financial services, and retail sectors
Get the campaign moving immediately: strategy, case for support, feasibility study, a top-200 donor list, gift pyramid, donor introductions, prospect qualification, and board training — while we run the permanent CPO search.
- Prior involvement in $150M+ capital campaigns
- Experience with campaign management or interim-leadership engagements
- Comfortable coaching board members and executives on donor meetings
Build the intelligence engine behind the fundraisers — identifying donors, researching wealth capacity, maintaining the CRM and pipeline, and drafting proposals and grant materials.
- Strong prospect research and wealth-screening experience
- Comfortable owning a CRM and a major-gift pipeline
- Grant writing or institutional proposal experience a plus
As the campaign grows, we'll also be building out a Director of Principal & Major Gifts, a Director of Foundations & Institutional Giving, and additional development operations support. If that's you — especially with 10+ years cultivating major donors for a university, hospital foundation, or international NGO — don't wait for a posting. Reach out directly.
Not looking for a job? Join the Mexico 100K Campaign Cabinet.
We're recruiting 20–30 extremely well-connected volunteer leaders — business owners, CEOs, technology executives, Catholic philanthropists, family-office principals, and former government leaders — to open doors. Each Cabinet member makes a handful of warm introductions to major-donor prospects. That's worth far more than any list of cold contacts.
How we structure compensation
We pay for relationships and closing ability with base salary, performance bonuses, and milestone incentives — tied to things like qualified major-donor meetings, proposals submitted, pipeline created, and campaign milestones reached.
We do not pay fundraisers a percentage of funds raised. Commission-based fundraising compensation conflicts with the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Code of Ethical Standards, and it's not how we build long-term donor trust.
In practice, this means genuinely exceptional fundraisers are compensated accordingly — we'd rather invest in someone who can bring in tens of millions than save on someone who can't.Don't see the exact fit?
